#16 - Belarus

The land of the potato! As Ruth's "fun facts about Belarus" research taught us, there are over 180 ways that the potato is served in Belarus. The national dish is the Draniki. We decided (somewhat ill advisedly) to try and make stuffed Draniki rather than going with the plain approach.

These are basically potato pancakes. Often stuffed with mushrooms, or like we tried, pork. They were a bit on the greasy side, but I expect that was partly due to the pork stuffing. Overall not bad.

Next up is Belgium! And as much as I wish it were, moules & frites is not on the menu :-(
