Austria seemed pretty straight forward - both in terms of the food itself and finding ingredients. While listening to Mozart, we dined on wiener schnitzel, kasespatzle and had traditional Austrian strudel for dessert. It was a pretty tasty, if not nutritionally balanced, meal.

While we ate, Ruth regaled us with her "fascinating facts" about Austria - these included that it has one of the oldest national flags, is the birthplace of both the inventor of the sewing machine and the founder of Porsche, and was where the first postcards were used.

One more "A" and then we move on in the alphabet!
