#1 - Afghanistan

Our first stop was Afghanistan. A bit of quick research taught us that the national dish is Qabili Palau so that’s what we decided to make. The ingredients were easy to find and there were no high level technical cooking skills involved so it was a good place to start. And the outcome was pretty darn good. Jack gave it 7.5 out of 10 and Ruth appreciated the high rice content and said “even with raisins this isn’t bad”. Andrew managed to find the Afghan national anthem to play before we ate. I’m not sure that trend is one we’ll continue with.
And so the journey begins.....
